Angarsk Petrochemical Company, which was commissioned in 1955, was acquired by Rosneft in May, 2007. The enterprise is one of the largest refineries in Russia, and it is a major petroleum product supplier in Siberia and the Far East. The capacity is 10.2 million tons of desalinized oil per year. The Angarsk Refinery processes West Siberian crude oil delivered via the Transneft pipeline system. The plants conversion facilities include catalytic reforming, isomerization, diesel fuel hydrotreatment, catalytic cracking, coking, and bitumen production units. Angarsk Refinery produces oils and comprises petrochemical capacities for production of methanol, butanols, amines. The plant produces more than 200 types of products, including liquefied gases, gasolines, diesel fuel, jet fuel, propellants, as well as bitumen, coke, oils and chemicals of various grades. The refinery supplies 600700 thousand tons of naphtha annually as a raw material for the thermal decomposition unit of the Angarsk polymer plant, which produces a wide range of petrochemical products, and is owned and operated by Rosneft. In 2014, the Angarsk Refinery processed 9.97 million tons of oil. The plant produced 8.76 million tons of marketable commodities with the refining depth of 72.41%. The comprehensive modernization program aimed at ensuring compliance with the Technical Regulations is continuing. The construction of sulfuric acid alkylation, gasoline hydrotreatment, catalytic cracking, diesel fuel hydrotreatment facilities is under way. After commissioning of these facilities the entire output of car gasolines and diesel fuels produced at the Angarsk Refinery will conform to the 5th grade of the Technical regulations. Commissioning works are being carried out at MTBE production unit, the facility to be launched in 2015. Summary Investorsments into the Angarsk Refinery in 2014 totaled 12 billion rubles net of VAT.
