I have a small apple orchard in Washington State. On a normal yesr I would pick approximately 600 to 1200 boxes of golden delicious apples. It always depends on our weather. I plan to pick and have my fruit inspected and shipped within a week's time. Doing this will give the highest degree of freshness.
By not going through a warehouse I can pass along a larger profit margin and a better quality apple. These apples will be available mid September or first week of October depending on growing conditions.
