1.-GUAYABA; Guava in English is an exotic fruit prodiuced in my hometown in Mexico. Its smells is very peculiar, great to smell.
Guava Properties/Actions Documented by Traditional Use:
anti-anxiety, anticonvulsant, antiseptic, astringent, blood cleanser, digestive stimulant, menstrual stimulant, nervine (balances/calms nerves), vermifuge (expels worms)
Guava is rich in tannins, phenols, triterpenes, flavonoids, essential oils, saponins, carotenoids, lectins, vitamins, fiber and fatty acids. Guava fruit is higher in vitamin C than citrus (80 mg of vitamin C in 100 g of fruit) and contains appreciable amounts of vitamin A as well. Guava fruits are also a good source of pectin - a dietary fiber. The leaves of guava are rich in flavonoids, in particular, quercetin. Much of guava's therapeutic activity is attributed to these flavonoids.
2.-NOPAL: Nopal plant, is a prolific succulent cactus that has been used for thousands of years by Mexican natives as a vitally important food source and for enhanced health and vitality. As a food source, Nopal is used in salads, soups, casseroles, and sandwiches as well as blended in various drinks. When used as a hypoglycemic, Nopal is used in dried powder form or taken in easy daily capsules. Don’t be confused, there are hundreds of varieties of Cactus, yet only the Opuntia ficus-indica, or Nopal, is accepted as the preferred species, widely revered for its extraordinary Health and Nutritional Benefits!
