Hashim Heymaa Trading is based in the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean. It is a Maldivian company with British investment and joint management, with offices in London, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

The company has been fish trading since 1998 and holds import and export licences for a large range of fish and seafood products.

We export to all parts of the world and specialise in quality products delivered on time. Having good relationships with clients is very important to us and we are in constant contact at all times, whether in Europe or the Indian Ocean, to discuss shipments and future orders.

Our main business is the export of fresh yellow fin tuna loins to Europe and the supplying of Maldivian resorts with all their seafood requirements.

The tuna is handline caught in the traditional manner and sourced from around the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
To ensure desired quantities for our customers we have our own supply depot in Haa Dhaal in the north of the Maldives as well as our processing facilities in Male.
A proportion of tuna comes from Sri Lanka where we also have processing and packing facilities for international export.

Both in the Maldives and Sri Lanka our factories and boats are EU accredited and regularly audited to supermarket standards.
Traceability is very important to Hashim Heymaa Trading and each caught fish can be traced back to the boat from where it was landed. All fish are line caught in traditional boats and Maldivian waters are protected by a zone flung round the country prohibiting other nations from fishing within its waters. The Maldivian government is famous for itâ??s eco-friendly approach and serious application to fish conservation and we are proud to be part of a sustainable industry which has a healthy eye to the future.

We also export various exotic fish such as snapper, grouper, kingfish and many more varieties. This is a rapidly expanding business in which we are market leaders.

We supply many Maldivian resorts with seafood â?? whether it be lobster, prawn, crab, shrimp, cuttlefish from Sri Lanka or tuna, marlin and some of the many varieties of exotic fish from the Maldives.

Also available for export is shark oil, dried fish and sea cucumbers.
