Indobel Bamboo Merapi, PT. was founded out of the fine cooperation with farmers and local government on the slopes of the Merapi and Merbabu volcanos near Yogyakarta, a cosmopolitain city on the island of Java, Indonesia.

Working mainly with Bamboo Petung (Dendrocalamus asper) ï¿½and Apus (Gigantochloa apus) harvested in villages located higher than 700m alongside the Merapi and Merbabu slopes, Indobel Bamboo provide incomparable quality.
Due to the mountain climate our bamboo takes longer to develop optimal length, but it is unquestionable stronger.

We can also provide Bamboo Wulung (Gigantochloa atroviolacea) in high quantities.
We are extremely proud of our cooperation with local farmers and harvesters. As we planted our bamboo ourselves, we have full control on quality and follow-up of the whole process from planting to harvesting and treatment.
