The idea for the LooMate came about “by chance” very late in 2008... “by chance” due to a broken toilet seat that we had just purchased and placed in our home two months earlier. 
We had envisaged that such a product would be highly sort after, as the toilet seat being left in the ‘up position’ has been and still is a very well-known ongoing issue between the battle of the sexes for many generations.
Before setting about having the product manufactured, we consulted with a Patency and Trademark Lawyer as to commence worldwide National Phase Patency’s, as well as Trademark Registering the Product Name.  After many weeks of deliberation we decided on the name LooMate, as we figured that this new product is a ‘Mate’ that sticks by your ‘Loo’...
