Quantzmed Personal Health (Pty) Ltd t/a Quantumed was founded in 2011. We are based in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. We locally manufacture and distribute high quality personal healthcare products. All our products undergo a battery of independent tests to ensure that they meet industry standards. Established in 2011, Quantumed is registered as a (Pty) Ltd company with representation in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We are an extremely small team of 3 dedicated individuals whose focus is at all times striving to maintain our mission statement. Four years down the line, we have achieved what we set out to achieve - we have an excellent understanding of the workings of the South African medical market, both in the private and government sector. Coupled with our sales team’s 25 years’ experience in the medical industry we are proud of the network we have established and our association with some of the best facilitators, decision-makers and medical companies within South Africa and abroad.

Our Product Range
�
�� Male Condoms – both Plain Lubricated and Coloured and Flavoured
Quantumed imports Coloured and Flavoured Condoms from Malaysia. The concept of importing Coloured and Flavoured condoms was a calculated risk four years ago as free plain condoms were readily available to the public via the government. However, our thought process was that having coloured and flavoured condoms would be more “in tune” with the youth, making male condoms more “funky” and fun, thereby removing the stigma associated with condoms. This “risk” has proven successful. We now supply various private sector companies, various mines and NGO’S throughout South Africa with our Coloured and Flavoured Condom Range.
�Indeed, the South African Government has now decided to change their own free plain condoms to that of Coloured and Flavoured. Although, one could view this as a threat to our business, we don’t.
We, now offer the concept of doing personalized branding on condoms as a value ad. The concept is quite unique in South Africa and as far as we are aware no other company offers this service/benefit.

�� Female Condoms
Quantumed also sells and markets Female condoms that complement our male condom range. It is not a huge market in South Africa or indeed globally. Reasons for this are the expensive price of female condoms both locally and internationally and the stigma attached to the complexity of using the female condom. There is not much QUANTUMED can do about pricing as this is an International issue. However, regarding the complexity of using the female condom, QUANTUMED offers workshops whereby we train staff on how to properly use a female condom as well as a male condom.
We also explain the myths and untruths of both the male and female condom during our workshops.

�� Lubricant – water-soluble range in 5ml, 10ml sachets or 50ml, 100ml bottles.
Quantumed is pleased to announce that we have successfully manufactured our own lubrication called QUANTUM LUBE in a special sachet called SNAP EASY. The SNAP EASY sachet has a worldwide patent, thus making it a one of its kind sachet.
We have successfully passed the SABS test on the QUANTUM LUBE and we have now started to slowly introduce the SNAP EASY QUANTUM LUBE (SEQL) into the South African market.
We will shortly be sending our lubrication overseas to the USA for more testing as these tests cannot be done in South Africa as we do not have the necessary laboratories in South Africa to do the required testing. Our aim is to market SNAP EASY QUANTUM LUBE (SEQL), both locally and internationally.
At present our market regarding lubrication is the NGO market of South Africa.

�� Male and Female Condom Demonstrators
QUANTUMED markets and sells male and female condom demonstrators that are sold to HIV/AIDS companies that require them for training purposes. The male and female condom demonstrators are 100% locally manufactured to our specifications and have being manufactured to meet the requirements of the unique South African Market.
QUANTUMED also utilizes the demonstrators for our own workshops, whereby we train people how to correctly use male and female condoms.
We have exported our Demonstrators internationally to Holland, West Indies, DRC, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia and Lesotho.

�� Male and Female Condom Dispensers
Quantumed also sells and markets Male and Female Condom Dispensers made from either Stainless Steel Metal that has being epoxy coated white and a budget Condom Dispenser manufactured from Perspex. All Condom Dispensers are 100% locally manufactured.
When one sells Condoms our clients usually require condom dispensers. Thus this market was automatically created as a value ad.
Again, the market sector is across the board, namely the private sector, the NGO sector and the Government Hospital market.

�� Dental Dams & Finger �– Coloured and Flavoured
Quantumed imports Coloured &Flavoured Dental Dams and Finger Cots from Malaysia. To the best of our knowledge we are the only company in South Africa that imports Coloured and Flavoured Dental Dams. Dental Dams are used exclusively for the Gay and Lesbian market of South Africa.
Coloured and Flavoured Dental Dams are used during oral sex between gays and lesbians. It prevents the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDS)

�� Body Bags
Quantumed sells and markets 100% locally manufactured Body Bags and Shrouds. On average we sell 8 tons of Body Bags and Shrouds per month locally. We also export our Body Bags and Shrouds as far as Zambia, with Namibia being one of our biggest exporting clients.

�� Alcohol Breathalyzers
Quantumed sells and markets Disposable as well as Digital Breathalysers in South Africa. The Digital Alcohol Breathalysers are imported but the disposable alcohol breathalysers are 100% locally manufactured in South Africa.�

Unfortunately, due to the difficult economic times South Africa is experiencing we have noticed an increase in alcoholic consumption that affects the workplace. More and more employees are coming to work under the influence of alcohol, especially on a Monday morning.
Good for business, BUT, a sad indication of the hard economic times which affect our people in various ways.

�� Nap Zappers
Quantumed imports the Nap Zapper. The Nap Zapper is a device that stops you from falling asleep behind the wheel of your car or any moving vehicle.
We export the Nap Zapper internationally to DRC, Congo, and Zambia.
We are in the process of getting the Nap Zapper approved by SABS and ICASA so that we may make a presentation to the department of Transport. Our aim is to make it law that all Taxis, Truck Drivers and Heavy Vehicle Drivers be obliged to wear one. Hopefully, this will bring down the deaths on our South African Roads.
